Nail Varnish of the Week

My 6 year old self freaked out when she saw this color. This was the exact color of my old platform Sketchers. P sure that is where my love of platforms began, in like Kindergarten.

Jeans and Sparkly Blueeeeee!

It is so snazzy, I can't get over it. Look at this very unprofessional blue but who cares cuz I love the way it hits the light.

OPI's "You Blue It" is the color of the week.

Basically, grab this color and go. This took only 3 coats and it dried super fast so #bless.

Stay Fab (and glittery)!

Nail Varnish of the Week

Feelin' a bit grey with all the finals, and the end being near! So…..

A little grey, a little sparkle.

It is another Nina's Ultra Pro color (I seem to have a lot of them…?)

This lovely grey is color "Ink-ling" by Nina's. It goes on so smoothly and if you let it dry, it actually makes a wonderful nail color!

So it is safe to say I am in love with this color. #HeartEyesEmoji

Stay Sparkly (with a bit of grey) Babes!

Nail Varnish of the Week

I am back to my neon ways with a nail color I have done so many times. Obviously I go back to this some odd reason so let's go!

Ok, so they are a bit chipped but whatever, NEON!

Yup its the ultimate Nina Ultra Pro, again.

Also, I really love the name of this color, freakin' "Solar Flare," how badass does that sound?

It chips fast if you don't let it dry like me but whatever. I love my neon nails and don't care. Also, that is my face.

Stay Neon Bright Babes!

Nail Varnish of the Week

Every year during the Spring Semester, our uni's activity club holds a Spa Day! So of course I went! It is run by the local beauty school in the area. Not only did I get a facial and a massage but I also got my nails didddddd.

WHAT A VIBRANT PINK!

I have come to realize that I really love ORLY nail varnishes, even if they don't last long.

It is in the color "Purple Crush"and I'm not kidding, it is insanely bright.

I eventually took it off because it chipped fast but its a really great color to brighten any mood!

Stay Fab!

Nail Varnish of the Week

I hadn't had my nails done black for quite some time and I really love matte, well, everything. So….

I legit just did them yesterday so this varnish is good for a few days, seeing as it does chip easily.

The varnish is Forever 21's Matte Nail Color and it dries super fast! Which is awesome because you can do stuff faster but they also don't dry completely for sometime. Just a warning.

Obviously, the color is in black and it was super cheap, for $2.80, so that is probably why it chips so fast but whatever.

Overall, it is an awesome varnish to wear for a few days and if you want to look badass and wear matte black, that is the way to do it.

Stay Fab!

Nail Varnish of the Week

Spring has sprung! Kind of. I was feeling the warm weather and my tan (LOL) so I went to my automatic "summer" color, white.

Whitttteeeee! Ohhh I feel so Hampton's. Do I look tanner already? I wish.

Thank God, Wet n Wild is $0.99 because hello. Yes, this is the second feature of the company. Thanks of making cheap nail varnish.

It is Wet n Wild's "French White Creme" and it went on pretty smooth but it did gain bubbles after some wear and it does change color fast, especially if you dye your hair (like me).

What is up with that pinky? Anyway, overall pretty happy but it does chip quite quick.

Stay classy.

Nail Varnish of the Week

Since starting up this weekly blog idea, I have been getting so many varnishes as gifts. It is so lovely considering I am not a fan of buying things for myself, unless that thing is food. This color was given to me for my birthday by Fredrika since she knows I either like obnoxious colors or really neutral colors.

Bam! I decided to welcome Spring with a bit of nakedness. LOL.

Against my skin tone, it really is just a bit lighter/warmer so it is perfect!

This bomb color is Wet n Wild's Yo Soy. It went on somewhat smooth, a bit thick but that meant less layers so I'm down for it.

When you trying to feel fab but in a nude way, this color is for you!

Stay naked!

Nail Varnish of the Week: Spring Break Edition

As you may have noticed from my instagram, you will  have seen I was on Spring Break. It was much needed and seriously so much fun! Anyway, I am pretty sure I have worn this color before but whatever, it is a beautiful color!

Doesn't it just scream realizing by the pool and tanning???

This is legit my one of two essie colors. I always feel like their colors are so beautiful but there are plenty of other varnishes that go on a bit better. Somehow I always get bubbles, whatever, still fab.

As stated before it is Essie in "Rock The Boat," the perfect blue with a hint of shimmer.

The boys also really love it, so I don't see why you wouldn't want to rock this color everyday?

Holiday nails are the best nails!

Nail Varnish of the Week

If you ever want to feel fab for like 3.5 days (that is how long it lasted before it chipped). I was clearly inspired by Lou Teasdale's new nails from Japan. Glitter glitter glitter!!

Seriously, how does one not feel fabulous with sparkly nails?

This was about 5 coats with a clear base coat on the bottom.

Like I did say, it did chip within 3 1/2 days but it was easy to peel off. Sparkles are just so hard to take off so be ready for that feat.

Stay (glittery) fabulous!

XOXO -M.S.

Nail Varnish of the Week

Amanda, being the besets, amazing person she is; she bought me this lovely nail color for completing the full 24 hour of the DanceAThon!

This color was soooo pigmented! It was super thick to put on. I can't tell a lie, it did chip within a day and I eventually had to take it off. But for one night out, these are the perfect nails!

She said she mainly bought it because it was so pretty and perfect for the blog. I can't help but agree. Look at those polka dots!

Poparazzi makes the nail varnish and it is in the color "Razzy Baby." Groovy Baby.

I added a bit of sparkle with simple tape across the nails. The one on the left is OPI's Lilac Glitter and the one on the right is Forever 21's Silver Glitter.

Stay Fab!

Nail Varnish of the Week

This week I went for a bit of a toned down look (that I think I have done before??) since I just had neon yellow nails for the past two weeks. Grey + Light pink = V calm.

it really only took 3 coats of each color to look like this but because I am a weirdo, I did about 5.

The colors are Brucci Nail Hardener in "Alexandra's Hot Gray" and Wet n Wild's "Sugar Coat."  I have found these colors to hold a really strong and beautiful pigment, which is amazing.

Overall, super happy with the subtle nail look I went for.

Chipping was rare but because my nails are a bit weaker right now, a little chipping did occur about 2 days in.

Stay sassy.

Nail Varnish of the Week - NYFW Edition

Last week was insane. I was in NYC for a weekend two weeks ago, came back to school for a day and a half then got on a bus back to NYC for four days. So nails were not exactly on the top of my mind. I actually rocked the same color as last week. Here are some pics of me at New York Fashion Week wearing my signature neon nails.

This was from the day before the show in the hair and makeup area. See neon nails.

DAY OF! Here is all the makeup used during the six showcases featuring me.

To see more photos from Fashion Week, follow this blog as I will be posting them soon!

Nail Varnish of the Week

I'm back at it with neon nails, in the pursuit of the perfect yellow. I think I did pretty well this time around.

LOOK HOW BRIGHT!

It is an Orly varnish which I have never tried but was super happy with it. I have worn it for over a week and still no cracks. Also, it only took 3 coats to achieve this color! Woot!

"Glowstick" is color I was rocking.

Overall, I was super happy with the color. So yes a must buy for all who want to rock the Lou Teasdale neon nail trend.

Stay Neon!

XOXO -M.S.
