I shall update this when I actually have some sleep in my system. Promise.
This week I went for a bit of a toned down look (that I think I have done before??) since I just had neon yellow nails for the past two weeks. Grey + Light pink = V calm.
it really only took 3 coats of each color to look like this but because I am a weirdo, I did about 5.
Overall, super happy with the subtle nail look I went for.
Chipping was rare but because my nails are a bit weaker right now, a little chipping did occur about 2 days in.
Stay sassy.

I'm gonna be straight up with you. This week has been weird. Every time I go away on a cool adventure, I tell myself, don't get weird. I got weird. I don't know. It is like there is this high you get on when you go do something cool or something you see yourself doing in the future. Then you come home, settle back into normal life and it just seems like a low. But it isn't a low. Normal is not a low. And if normal is a low for you, come talk to me. Everyone's normal should be normal. Is this even making sense?
I just wrote an article for Her Campus Pitt, an online magazine which I run the social media for but I write for as well; the article was about how I am in this weird excited/confused state of being an adult. I have never felt so stressed yet here I am in an unicorn onesie writing this blogpost at 1 am. Life is just really weird right now. I will get through it, I will go back to normal. But for right now. I am accepting this feeling I am having. Something really great can happen or something really bad can happen but I feel indifferent to it all. Why? Life just felt like it was passing by this week. I wasn't taking it all in like I am used to.
Maybe we all need a week or two or life just passing by and us not really caring to realize how awesome the other fifty or so weeks really are. We can't always be at our high and we sure as heck can't be at our low, normal has to happen at some points to help us realize our high and low.
I also feel like my friends think it is something against them. It almost never is. The amount of stress I put on myself is crazy but I love it. I love having something to do and doing my best at it. But even during these "weird weeks" the stress I put on myself doesn't seem to matter. Like I said, it is all just kind of going along. So friend reading this, I can't really be cheered up, I just need to snap out of it (and I will, don't worry).
These weird weeks are something I have come to accept and I think if I didn't accept them, I would question if the high and low weeks were worth it; they are almost always are. So if you are having a weird week, its okay. You don't always need to be changing the world, you can sit back and just let it pass for a bit. But don't let it pass for too long, life is way too cool for that ish to just fly by you.
I'm sorry about this weirdly personal, horribly written blogpost today (I technically didn't sleep yet so I count this as on time for a Wednesday blog post), like I said, this week has been so weird. Let's hope next week I will snap out of this and we can go back to giggling about water leaking in my roof or our favorite nail colors!

Last week was insane. I was in NYC for a weekend two weeks ago, came back to school for a day and a half then got on a bus back to NYC for four days. So nails were not exactly on the top of my mind. I actually rocked the
same color as last week. Here are some pics of me at New York Fashion Week wearing my signature neon nails.
This was from the day before the show in the hair and makeup area. See neon nails.
DAY OF! Here is all the makeup used during the six showcases featuring me.

That is a long title but seriously after 45 minutes of searching for a funny post of songs to listen to while rain poured into the ceiling I decided to be clear with what I was doing.
Let me rewind, I live on the top floor of an apartment complex and sometimes that means, a roof can break. By that I mean, it pours into our apartment. My landlord was a huge help so in no ways am I complaining but it was terrifying for a bit. It rained through a hole in the ceiling into our apartment for about 5 hours and dripped for another 24 hours. No water damage happened but while we waited for the pouring to stop aka the tile to fall down, which it did, we decided to host our own singalong.
Here are some ironic songs to listen to while it rains inside your apartment for all those going through the same thing right now.
Clearly, this is just a short list of songs to listen to but it is sure to get your mind turning. Best of luck to you if you are dealing with a leaking ceiling as well.
Stay dry!

I'm back at it with neon nails, in the pursuit of the perfect yellow. I think I did pretty well this time around.
LOOK HOW BRIGHT!
It is an Orly varnish which I have never tried but was super happy with it. I have worn it for over a week and still no cracks. Also, it only took 3 coats to achieve this color! Woot!
Overall, I was super happy with the color. So yes a must buy for all who want to rock the Lou Teasdale neon nail trend.
Stay Neon!

Happy Birthday to me (again), my lovely friend, Meri, from Finland sent me a gel nail varnish that I had to try! Gel nail varnish is what I'm all about because I legit just use my hands to death haha.
There they are in all their glory.
It is a Lumene Gel Effect. Seriously look how nail varnish I am right now.
After two coats, I reached this super rich pink color and it lasted for about a week without chipping!
Once again, I managed to match my nails to my lips. Excuse me Miss Jackson, I am for realllll. Overall, I was super happy with varnish and how wonderfully it went on and stayed.
Have a fab week loves!
