Nail Varnish of the Week

I have been straight up obsessed with this nail color since I got it in my September Ipsy bag. The color is super easy to apply but just a warning, as any red color, it sucks to take off.

It is the perfect "not black" nail color when you want to add a subtle color.

Pacifica is the brand which is a 100% vegan and cruelty free company.

"Red Red Wine" is the name of the nail color.

Basically, this color lasts for a good 5-7 days and is easily applied with two coats. It is always my go to color when I'm trying to feel a bit fancier.

Until next time babes!

Nail Varnish of the Week

Since I have been on a kick of painting my nails,  I have decided to keep up with this "Nail Varnish of the Week" blogposts! This week I did that odd one finger painted a different color thing.

Here is my hand looking very fall.

The nail varnish was Nina Ultra Pro in "Ink-ling." It goes on super smooth and doesn't chip that fast (it lasts about a good 3 to 4 days before chipping).

I am obsessed with grey for the fall, black is always my go to color but grey is a good compromise.

The black nail varnish I used for my ring fingers was Spoiled in "Visually Slimming." Once again, just a black nail varnish that I use on the regular. It lasts about 3 days.

As you can see, I literally wear grey 24/7 in the fall.

Keep those nails fab. Until next time.

LULZ @ My First Day Faux Pas

Today I was lucky enough to start my internship with Sony Music, more specifically, RCA Records. It wouldn’t have been a successful “Mavis” day if I had not done a few weird things along the way. Let’s start at the beginning.

The moment I got off the bus, I walked to Sony, which is about 1.5 miles away but I had an hour and a half to kill so I wasn’t worried. After sitting awkwardly outside the doors, I figured I would try to go to the bathroom in the lobby. Too bad no one told me they were cleaning the bathrooms, so I walked in, slipped on the wet floor and fell into the trashcan. I know, smooth. The man was very nice and said he was sorry he didn’t put the sign up, not many people are hanging at Sony at 7 in the morning.

Somehow, I managed to not completely embarrass myself while signing in and filling out paperwork. So lets move on to when I was actually working. I really had to go to the bathroom so I decided to venture around and try and find it. Once I found it, I tried the door and couldn’t open it. I heard a noise inside so I assumed it was a one-stall bathroom. After standing there for about 10 minutes, I decided to head back to work. Finally, I could not hold it anymore so I went back to the bathroom hoping no one would be using it. No one was. And as I opened the door, I also discovered that it was a multi-stall bathroom with a nice sitting area. Now I know, the door just gets stuck some days.

My power walk back to the bus station was not my most proud walk I have ever taken. I need to catch a bus in 25 minutes and it takes about 30 minutes to get there. This girl learned that everyone who has somewhere to be walks in the bike lane on the street! So smart! Until you almost get run over by a bike and fall into a man with three pizzas in his hands. Luckily, he was able to save the food (and me!) so god bless his soul.

Other than those few mishaps, which are funny now that I look back on them, my day was amazing. Thank you to all who tweeted me and wished me luck! Sony is an amazing place and I really can’t wait to learn all I can from them! Until next time!

XOXO –M.S.
