Nail Varnish of the Week

I was super excited when I won this Ricky's NYC Instagram contest to win this super cute Camila Coelho nail varnish in Topical Salmon! The moment I got it in, I had to try out the limited edition vanish! Since I have put it on (about 4 days ago) it has yet to chip and/or get all weird! So I'm feeling #blessed.

Everything came in this amazing gold bad (its so large!) which included a bag, a brochure about the nail company and of course, the nail varnish!

I wiped my neon yellow nails clean and applied the Tropical Salmon! And boom! Amazingness.
(Soz I bite my cuticles!)
Here are my fab nails without the bottle. I'm a big fan of this color for the summer/fall seasons because I literally wear only black so I color up my look with nails and funki hair!

I'm thinking I might make this Nail Varnish of the Week thing a weekly thang. What are ya thinking?

Once again, thank you Ricky's NYC and Yenzah Beauty for the prefect color!

Til Next Time Lovely Faces!

XOXO -M.S.

Coachellaroid

About a month ago, I was lucky enough to win a Festival Style contest to Coachella with Teen Vogue and Marc Jacobs. I took my polaroid camera with me and took a few piccys along the way. Here is Coachella in polaroid style.

Day 1:
Teen Vogue and Marc Jacobs set us up with lovely goodies and this wonderful letter.

Here is Amy with our Teen Vogue Mags and our goodie bags in our hotel room.

Rockin' our Marc By Marc Jacobs sunnies and scarves.

Dinner consisted of In-N-Out.

Munch, Munch.

We emptied our bags out after the first day and laughed at everything we carried through the festival.

Day 2:
From 12-6pm, we laughed, drank, ate and partied with some celebs at the Marc By Marc Jacobs Desert Gold Party at the Ace Hotel.

The Ace Hotel was basically made to look amazing in Polaroids.

Every time we tweeted #MBMJSunnies we received a free lemonade. Needless to say, I was tweeting up a storm in 95 degree weather!

There was even a Pop-Up Shop where you could buy the Sunnies on site!

Seriously, look at this pool. Ace Hotel = Polaroid Paradise.

We got to grab a funny pic in the photo booth as well!

Day Two's Outfit consisted of buns, dungarees, a crop top and flatform trainers.

An attempted selfie while waiting for Muse but it was too dark.

Around 3am, we decided to we needed to hop in the photo booth at the Ace Hotel and have a laugh.

Day 3:
10am at Coachella = Empty! So we grabbed a ride on the Ferris Wheel.

As a VIP, we got to eat at these yummy and fresh food carts!

Not a Selfie in the VIP area.

Coachella was absolutely amazing and the people I got to meet were even better. I just want to thank Teen Vogue and Marc Jacobs for allowing me this once in a life time experience!

XOXO -M.S.

Spray Hair Color

If you follow me on ANY of my social medias, you would know I am obsessed with colored hair! My hair is personally a mix of blue, purple and pink. The more color, the better in my book.
My hair has been through well...a lot. It was bleached for two days straight then sat with toner for forever and then finally dyed purple. As I have been experimenting with my hair, I have added in the pink and blue.

Before I put my hair through everything, I tried colored clip-ins from ULTA. They were great for the young people who wanted to try a little something different (and are under their parents' roof).

The next attempt of being cool was hair chalk! I bought some $4 pink hair chalk from Rite Aid. I loved it but didn't like how it would wash out right away. I eventually used it again when my hair was bleached and it held much longer!

But the moment I heard about this SPRAY Hair Color, I got so excited! Since it is spray, it is more condensed and it can take the darkest pigmented hair and turn it to pink (pink only holds in blonde or bleached hair). The product is made by Bumble and bumble. It is called Spray Chalk and it comes in 4 different colors as of now (cobalt, lavender, mint and blush)! The prices are $19 for a 1.4oz.

It washes out within a day but it allows you to experiment with different colors and ideas (ombre, stripes, start at the roots), it is whatever you want to make it! I have yet to try the product but needless to say, it shall be in my hands soon!

So go grab some and spray away....at least for a day!

Home is where the WiFi connects automatically

As I begin my Junior Year at the University of Pittsburgh, I have come to realize that home is the one place you can come, be yourself and be accepted. Family may not always agree with your decisions but they will eventually come around to them. Take care of your family and love them. They are all you've got in the end.

Home is where you are always welcome.

XOXO,
M.S.
