Friendly Reminder: NYE 2016

HAPPY ALMOST NEW YEAR! 2016. Whoa man. 2016. Everyone always makes these amazing goals for the year. I'm not trashing that idea at all. Kinda cool that there is a date that can be a refresh button for all of humanity.

Personally, I think anyone can start a new life any time in their life. One day I decided to change my diet and I did it. You don't need a date but if you want a date. This is the time to start.

If the New Year gets you down, like it does a lot of people. Here are some things that for sure going to make this year pretty cool for you.

1) Your birthday
2) Halloween
3) SUMMER
4) The Sun will Shine
5) Someone will show they care for you
6) Your favorite artist will have a song on the radio
7) You'll eat a delicious meal
8) Puppies will be born
9) YouTube videos will be posted
10) A bed will always be there for you

Don't let this New Year, New Me thing get to you. You are amazing as is. As wonderful as this time is, remember you don't HAVE to change but it is a cool time to make some goals.

Until Friday!

XOXO

Warm Weather Jumpsuits

Since I'm on a little Holiday, I've decided to do a bit of a TBT outfit post with an outfit from warmer times and tanner skin. This jumper was so cute and comfy when it came to dancing the night away. I've also worn it to a wedding as well movie night so its quite versatile.

Jocelyn and I taking pictures in the bathroom as girls do.

Scalloped bottoms allowed this piece to kick it up a notch in fun. I paired it with my platform boots for the full comfort effect. Seriously, platforms and sneaker are the comfiest of shoes. Sadly the shoes are no longer being produced but any pair will do.

We was the Queens of bathroom selfies.

As far as where the jumpsuit was from it was a find at TJ Maxx. Usually I can't stand looking through every piece of clothing in that store but it was worth it when it came to finding this lucky piece.

Amy and I waiting for the valet as you do.

I kept my makeup simple as I usually do with a simple wing and a darker lip. The septum ring was from Shop Jeen. If you see a piece of jewelry in my nose, its usually fake. Necklace was a gift from my mom and sister before I headed off to school but it was v modern and hip as I feel I am.

Until Wednesday!

Pastel Winter Feels

Freakin' confused, thats how I feel. This weather is so confusing. So I throw on a sweater, ripped jeans and baseball hat to try and get ahead of Mother Nature.

Using that shooting via app feature so holla

The super cute pastel jacket is actually from Target. My mom and I decided to share our winter coats this year. It isn't insanely heavy and looks cool both buttoned and unbuttoned.

Pink Wool Coat because swag

My super cozy and warm sweater is from H&M which I bought in store for $10 but this was the closest I could find. Some sweaters are scratchy, luckily this one is fluffy.

Casually leans against gate to show off shoes

Seeing as I only own two pairs of jeans, these are from ASOS and starting to be a bit too big. Just a heads up, they do stretch!!

POV

ADIDAS Original Superstars are the basically the only kicks I wear anymore. Comfort is key to me. To complete the sporty/pastel look I decided to rock, I added a baseball hat. Any hat will really do but I thought this just topped the outfit off right!

Whoa my hair has gotten long

While the weather may change, you can keep your theme in your life aka pastel. Who knew a peacoat and a baseball hat could look so cute?

See you on Wednesday!

Getting Through That Workout | Fitness Friday

I love working out. Obviously. But there are definitely some times where I just don't see the end of a workout. Everyone has their own ways to workout, whether that be in a class or by yourself. Personally, I love a good workout class. Don't get me wrong, I kick it hard at the gym by myself but classes are super fun.

Anywayyyyy, this blog post is about how to get through your workout. Some days you just aren't feeling it but you still drag your booty to the gym (props to you). While you are trying to get your workout on and feeling like you just can't push harder, these tips are for you.

1. Sing (or lip sync) the music playing
I learned this tip during a cycling course. Singing helps regulate your breathing. So while you feel like you can't catch your breathe, sing along.

2. 10 Second Secret
Anyone can do anything for 10 seconds. It's true. When you hear "10 seconds" you usually push whatever you are doing. Doing a plank? Countdown from 10 and then do it again. Suddenly you've done your plank for a minute. Bam.

3. Water Up
When I feel like I am near death, I drink my water because 1) its a break from the workout for like 15 seconds and 2) I ain't trying to pass out mid workout.

4. Do the Modified Move
Reminder: its better to keep moving than die after going hard for 45 seconds. If you are taking a class, instructors are trained to know modified moves so just ask. They would rather you do that than give up. If you are doing your workout alone, take off weight or google the easier move.

5. Think of your Goals
The amount of times I just wanted to end the workout because I wasn't feeling it are insane but if you can think of your goal, whether that to be overall healthier or to lose weight, it won't happen if you just give up.

6. Know your Limits
Sometimes it is just better to know your body. If you think you could get hurt because you are doing a half butt workout, stop. Listen to your body.

7. Just Imagine you are Working Out with Harry
TBH, just wanted to look at these pics for a bit.

I'm sure I have more tips but these are the ones that push me through every workout. Stay strong and don't forget to think of yourself. I'm proud of you for deciding to work on yourself.

See you Monday!

XOXO

Thank You, One Direction

Dear One Direction,

Thank you. Thank you for an awesome five years. Thank you for creating an environment and fandom that felt like a safe zone. Thank you for the fun. Thank you.

Whether this break is 18 months or 5 years, we are here and always will be. A fandom isn't just created for a certain period but a lifetime.

Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the insanely ridiculous tweets that I couldn't understand half the time. Thank you for being there when others weren't.

You know what is weird, in the past five years, there hasn't been a day where I haven't seen any of your faces. Even weirder, I am actually worried about you during this break. Get plenty of sleep and drink water. Sing loudly in the shower. Eat your favorite food. As much as this is a change for us, it is an even bigger change for you.

Thank you for the tours. Thank you for the albums. Thank you for the photoshoots and especially thank you finally getting a snapchat.

A break means a break. A break from all contractual related things. So go write songs for other people, heck even sing with them. Use this time to really get to know and use your talents. As fans, we know this is your break as much as it is ours. Enjoy it.

Thank you for five amazing years that have forever changed my life. Our lives. See you when it feels right, One Direction.

XOXO

Dungaree Winter Comfort

As you may know, dungarees are like my second skin in the summer but as the temperatures drop what is a girl to do? Grab a pair of your mom's old overalls and own a wide leg. These aren't those super stylish skinny leg pair but a good old 90's pair with larger legs. Since its been so nice out randomly, I threw on a jumper and trainers to keep it sporty and cool.

Wavy hair and comfy outfits

My hair is courtesy of dino braids overnight. Wavessss. My Adidas jumper is basically a second layer of skin for me. It is so comfy and just the right amount of warmth.

Had a bit of jam session to Little Mix while taking pictures of this outfit

My watch is a Casio watch and it probably one of the most adult things I have ever purchased other than my car or something along those lines. It may be a digital watch but look how suave I look.

And pose.

While my mom wore these overalls in the 90s, never doubt a comeback in clothing. Pants overalls are always an odd outfit to pull off. But comfort is kind of key in all my outfits. If you can't see yourself running or accidentally falling asleep in your outfit, there is probably a way to make a bit comfy.

 Being a bit of nut

Take down one strap or wear both, its like that whole situation with backpacks at school, you decide what is cool.

Have a lovely week and I will see you Wednesday!

XOXO
